Oxo-Aza-Spirocycle Synthesis

Ernesto Suarez and co-workers at the Instituto de Productos Naturales y Agrobiologia del CSIC in Spain have recently published in Tetrahedron on the synthesis of an oxo-aza-spirocycle via hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) reactions using diacetoxy(iodo)benzene and an 80 W tungsten lamp.
