Rugulosone

At IC50 values of 1 to 2 micrograms/mL activity towards Plasmodium falciparum, some interesting new xanthone containing natural products were isolated by Somdej Kanokmedhakul and co-workers at Khon Kaen University in Thailand.  These natural products were isolated from the fungus Emericella rugulosa.
