Kuo-Hsiung Lee and co-workers at the University of North Carolina have reported in Organic Letters on the isolation of a very potent anti-HIV compound stelleralide A, which had an EC90 of 0.4 nM.

Jian-Min Yue and co-workers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences have published in the Journal of Natural Products on the isolation of diterpenes dubbed trigoxyphins. Trigoxyphin A had an IC50 value against HL60 human leukemia cells of 0.27 micromolar.

Jian-Min Yue and co-workers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences have recently published on the isolation of trigochinin C, which had an IC50 value of 1.95 micromolar against MET tyrosine kinase activity.

Sheo Singh at Merck Laboratories isolated a compound that kills fleas at the 1 ppm level activity. This seven membered containing polyclic daphnane was isolated and published in JACS.

Basically some people in Ghent found this molecule called kirkinine,and they found that at the nM levels, it promotes neuronal survival. The structure is unique in that it has a seven membered ring.
