Substituted Dihydroisocoumarins

Peter Langer and co-workers at the Universitat Rostock have recently published in Tetrahedron on a method to access dihydroisocoumarins using one equivalent of titanium chloride in the presence of a bis-silyl enol ether and an alpha-beta-unsatured enone with a silyl ether on the beta position.
