Johannes Imhoff and co-workers at Leibniz-Institute of Marine Sciences have published in the Journal of Natural Products on the isolation of eutypoids B-E from the Penicillium sp. strain KF620 i. Eutypoid B had an IC50 of 0.78 micromolar against glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β), which is a target for treating type 2 diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease.
