Kazuo Nagasawa and co-workers at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology have reported in Chemistry a European Journal on the synthesis of saxitoxin analogs and their biological activities towards sodium ion channels.

Progesterone Activity towards Human Sperm

Here’s a Nature paper by Yuriy Krichok and co-workers at UCSF on the effect of progesterone onto the Ca2+ ion channel in human sperm – interestingly this response is not found in mouse sperm.
