Double carbonylation

Laszlo Kollar and co-workers at the University of Pecs in Hungary have reported on a double carbonylation reaction that involved the incorporation of two CO groups onto a vinyl iodide – the fact that we see two carbon monoxide units introduced is probably related to the high pressure of CO (110 bar).  **(note:  typo in abstract “inluenced”)
