Osmium Catalyzed Hydroalkoxylation

With all of the hype of the typical transition metals for hydryalkoxylation reactions such as platinum, gold, and silver, people seem to forget about the other transition metals. Carlos Saa and co-workers from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in Spain have recently reported in ACIEE on an osmium catalyzed hydroalkoxylation reaction to lead to benzoxepine structures.
