Divergolides

Christian Hertweck and co-workersfrom HKI in Germany have published in ACIEE on the isolation of a group of macrolides and divergolide D was the most cytotoxic with IC50 values ranging from 1-2 micromolar against lung cancer (LXFA 629L), pancreatic cancer (PANC-1), renal cancer (RXF 486L), and sarcoma (Saos-2) cancer cell lines.

Gukulenin

Jung-Rae Rho and co-workers from Kunsan have recently isolated gukulenins A and B from the Korean marine sponge Phorbas gukulensis. The tetraterpenoid gukulenin A had a cytotoxic IC50 value of 57 nM against FaDu human pharynx cancer cell lines.
