[2+2] and [4+2] cycloadducts

Ling-Yi Kong and co-workers at China Pharmaceutical University have reported in Organic Letters on the isolation of [2+2] and [4+2] cycloaddition dimers dubbed katsumadain C and calyxin Y, respectively.

Yong Rok Lee and co-worker at Yeungnam University in Korea have recently published in Tetrahedron on the synthesis of sumadain A in one step from 2,4,6-trihydroxyacetophenone and citral.
