Phidianidines

Margerhita Gavagnin and co-workers from Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) in Italy have reported in Organic Letters on the isolation of some 1,2,4-oxadiazoles dubbed phidianidines from the marine opisthobranch mollusk Phidiana militaris.  Phidinidine A had an IC50 value of 1.52 micromolar against HeLa cells.
