LLD-3, a nortriterpene isolated from Lophanthera lactescen, was isolated by E. M. Saraiva and coworkers from Universidade de Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

From the root bark of Pseudolariz kaempferi was isolated a novel nortriterpene lactone, Pseudolarolide J. Kuo-Hsiung Lee from the school of pharmacy at UNC reported the isolation in JNP in 1996.
