Cholesterol analog to probe SHH protein

Edward Tate and co-workers from Imperial College in London have reported in Chemical Science on a cholesterol analog that allowed them to probe the sonic hedgehog protein, a peptide that undergoes post-translational modification with cholesterol.

Vinblastine analogs

Dale Boger and colleagues have reported in Organic Letters on the functionalization of alkenes using iron. When I first saw vinblastine I thought of Dale Boger because he does so much work on this compound and it looks like I was thinking the right person.

Cribrostatin analogs
