Alkyne to caged compound

Qi-Dong You and co-workers from China Pharmaceutical University have reported in Tetrahedron on a diyne compound undergoing a hydrogenation/Claisen/Diels-Alder cascade to afford the caged carbon skeleton of gaudichaudione A and isomorellin.
